Collector Notes: Introduced in 1998 and retired in 1999. This item is in the original Dept56 packaging and is in very good condition. I can’t tell if this item was ever used. The appearance is like new.
The following description is taken from the Dept56 box: Dinning out is one thing that tourist take seriously despite casual vacationing. Side Porch Cafe provides just the right atmosphere and just the right menu to be a real hit. Locals request a spot on the porch to watch the varying colors reflect on the water. When evening chill sets in, patrons request tables near the crackling fire for a glow in their cheeks and a whiff of burning cedar.
Also taken from the box: Take a vacation of minds with Seasons Bay, a turn-of-the-century resort town introduced in 1998. Drift into a daydream of this romantic era, when resort towns were filled with parasols, petticoats, soft breezes and clean misty air. Stroll the quaint downtown for boutiques and eateries with nostalgic fashions and flavors. Note the splendid building designs with stone bases that model American Shingle Style Architecture, which was natural, fluid and flavored wide-open interior spaces. The abundances of porches, balconies, fireplaces and bay windows gave vacationers a place to relax and escape bustle of the booming cities.
