This is a beautiful Noritake Nippon oval covered casserole/ vegetable Bowl.
It is in the Portland pattern( pink roses, blue swirls and beige with gold gilding).
This casserole dish is in very good condition.
There are no cracks or chips and very little wearing on the gold gilding.
The bowl handles have some wear of the gold trim.
The lid handle is good on the gold but has a couple of burnishes from use.
An amazing piece that is approximately one hundred years old.

The production of this serving dish falls within that time frame of 1914-1921.
The mark on the bottom of this dish reads Portland in red, then Noritake curved over their green “M in a wreath” symbol, then Nippon in red under the wreath.
