. This beautiful vintage Paragon cup and saucer features the JE-A pattern, with an elegant fruit center surrounded by intricate floral and gold decoration.
The design features a gold-colored body with white panels and an elaborate fruit center with gold decoration.
Peaches and grapes are beautifully depicted inside the bottom of the cup and in the center of the saucer. The cup has a gold rim, adding to the distinctive appearance of the piece. The combination of the gold-colored body, white panels, colorful fruit, roses, and extensive gold decoration gives this set a distinctive and elegant appearance.
The cup measures approximately 4 1/8 inches in diameter and 2 1/4 inches tall.
It is made of fine bone china in England and bears the prestigious “By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen” mark. The backstamp indicates that this Paragon china dates to approximately 1957–1963.
The JE-A pattern is documented with the fruit-center design in a black version with white panels. This example has the same distinctive design with a gold-colored body, making it an especially interesting variation for the Paragon collector.
Condition is very good vintage. There are no cracks, chips, or crazing, and there is no obvious wear to the decoration or gold.
All vintage items are previously owned and should be considered used.
