Beautiful vintage Japanese Geisha doll, approximately 13 inches tall, mounted on an original wooden display base measuring approximately 6½ by 7¾ inches.
The doll is dressed in a striking black kimono with a colorful sash and gold trim. Her black hair is tightly pulled back and appears to be made from natural hair.
The doll is made from wood, gofun, and mixed materials. Gofun is a traditional Japanese doll-making material that gives the face and other exposed areas a smooth, porcelain-like appearance.
The doll is in good vintage condition and makes an attractive decorative display piece or addition to a collection of Japanese dolls and traditional cultural art.
